Dasha Serck Biography
Dasha Serck, born in Leiden in 2003, is a violinist from Voorburg, the Netherlands. She began her violin journey at age six under the guidance of private teacher Valentina Punshina. By eight, she joined the Young Talent Class at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. At 14, she continued her studies in Utrecht at the Academy of Musical Talent (AMT) with Julia Dinerstein, and at 18, she was admitted to the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she is currently pursuing her fourth-year bachelor’s degree in the class of Ilya Grubert.
Dasha is highly engaged in musical projects, masterclasses, and competitions. She has taken masterclasses with renowned musicians, including Sergei Krilov, Boris Kushnir, Daniël Rowland, Sergei Dogadin, Michael Kugel, Liza Ferschtman, and Tatiana Samoeil. Her international experience includes performing in orchestras, ensembles, and as a soloist in France, Poland, Russia, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands.
Her competition accolades are numerous. In 2017, she earned first place in both the Florence and Amstelveen music competitions. In 2020, she won first place in the Britten Competition, followed by a third-place finish at the Archipel Competition in 2021 and the Academy Prize at the Princess Christina Competition in 2023.
Dasha has also collaborated in ensembles with notable musicians such as Daniël Rowland, Anna Fedorova, Nicholas Schwartz, Maja Bogdanovitch, Vital Stahievitch, Olivier Thierry, and Wouter Vossen. As a soloist, she has performed with ensembles like the Britten String Orchestra, Artoni Chamber Orchestra, TOP Symphony Orchestra, YTO Symphony Orchestra, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra.
In her playing, Dasha is dedicated to exploring sound color and achieving technical mastery, viewing these as essential aspects of expression and personality in violin performance.
